Two young prizewinners

Clive & Yolanda. Prizewinners
Yolanda Channon Collecton

Clive and Yolanda George both won a first prize at a carnival held in August 1937. Brother & sister Clive and Yolanda are pictured standing outside their home, 11, Quay Road, Lower Fishguard, where they lived with their parents Yorrie & Mary George.

Clive (aged 5 yrs) won first prize for being dressed as “Shoni Winwns” (Johnni Onions) and Yolanda (aged 18 months) was dressed in Welsh costume.

It is not clear whether they had competed in Lower Fishguard or Fishguard Carnival!
