Roedd garej Morris ar ddiwedd Yr Hottipass bron ar y cornel â Stryd Kensington. Roedd yn fusnes ‘adeiladwyr coetsys’ teuluol ac yn sefydliad adnabyddus iawn yn lleol. Gyferbyn roedd siop groser a fynychwyd gan drigolion Plasyfron a Llanychaer. Roedd y busnes yn cael ei redeg gan Maggie Owen a byddai bysiau gwasanaeth y dref yn gwneud stop y tu allan, o achos poblogrwydd ei siop. Dau frawd o’r teulu Morris,- Roy a Randall, ddatblygodd fusnes yn y Wesh yn ddiweddarach. Roedden nhw yn drydanwyr ac yn gwerthu offer trydanol gyferbyn a’r troad wrth Theatr Gwaun. | Morris’ garage was at the end of Hottipass Street just at its junction with Kensington Street. The family run coachbuilders was a well known establishment. Opposite was a grocer’s shop which was well frequented by the residents of Plasyfron and Llanychaer. The business was run by Maggie Owen and the town service buses would make a stop outside, such was the popularity of her shop. Two brothers, Roy and Randall, from the Morris family, later developed a business in West Street. They were electricians and sold electrical equipment from their shop opposite the turning at Theatr Gwaun. |

For many years Johnny Morris stored a Rolls Royce which belonged to Lloyd Perkins who lived in the St Nicholas area. I can vaguely remember having a ride in it in the late 50’s.
