This Studio Jon photograph is of Fishguard Post Office staff gathered together for a celebration of some kind. Does anyone know what the occasion was, the location, and the date?

Mr Gwilym Bateman, seated towards the left, and George Bateman, standing to the right, were father and son. Both lived in Glyn-y-mêl, Lower Town, and were postmen at the same time. Gwilym had the Llanychaer route, while his son, George, delivered at Llanwnda and Pencaer. (Thanks to Andy, George’s son for the information).

Yr oedd Mr Gwilym Bateman, sy’n eistedd tua’r chwith, a George Bateman, sy’n sefyll i’r dde, yn dad a mab. Roedd y ddau yn byw yng Nglyn-y-mêl, Y Cwm, ac yn bostmyn ar yr un pryd. Llanychaer oedd patshyn Gwilym, a’i fab, George, yn neud Llanwnda a Phencaer. (Diolch i Andy, mab George am y wybodaeth)
