Vergam Terrace

This image of Vergam Terrace is taken from the corner of Clive Road looking towards Windy Hall.  It would seem that the far end of the terrace is still under construction as scaffolding can be seen. Looking closely, it is apparent that originally the terrace was not a complete run of properties as part way along can be seen wooden gates – presumably an entrance to to a rear yard area. The house that infilled this gap is now number 9 Vergam Terrace – its proportions are slightly different to that of its neighbours as it needed to fill a particular size gap!!
