Mr Radford’s delicatessen shop at Anchor House, High Street was a real “First” for Fishguard as can be seen from the images above. In the first article special mention was made of the shop which “Sold lines unobtainable elsewhere in the Country”…….
Mr Radford can be seen in the first interior view of the shop and in the second, Miss Joan Harries of Solway House, Lower Fishguard, who assisted in the shop, stands behind the counter. Does anyone know who the other lady on the RHS of the picture is?
The exterior view of the delicatessen also shows the side window of the Corner House (Corner Shop) next door. Ice cream could be served through a hatch in this window to any customers queueing outside.
