These two views are from a similar point on West Street – looking towards Goodwick although probably taken about 10 -15 years apart.

In the earlier photo there is quite a large group of children – perhaps these were pupils of the British School which was based in the adjacent Temperance Hall around 1890.

The second image is believed to be approximately 1906 as the man in the bowler hat with what appears to be a clipboard, appears in another photo whose date is known.  It is probable that this and the other image were taken the same day. (see Lewis Terrace, West Street )
