Mrs Emily George, Glanafon, Dinas

Yn Eisteddfod 1936 a gynhaliwyd yn Abergwaun, cariodd Mrs Emily George y Corn Hirlas. Gwisgai glogyn ysgarlad a phenwisg lliw aur. Bob ochr iddi mae dau facwy yn cerdded, sef – Arthur Reynolds a Morty Reynolds. Gweler lluniau 1 & 2.

Yn llun 3 mae’r orymdaith Farddol yn symud ar hyd Penslad o gyfeiriad Cylch yr Orsedd i’r Wesh yn Abergwaun.

In the 1936 Eisteddfod held that year in Fishguard, Mrs Emily George carried the Hirlas Horn. Noticeable in her scarlet robes and gold coloured head dress, she was flanked by her two “Pages” Arthur Reynolds and Morty Reynolds. See pictures 1 & 2.

In picture 3 the Bardic procession is moving along Penslade from the direction of the Gorsedd Circle to West Street Fishguard.

Mae’r ffotograffau llai, a dynnwyd ar gamera ‘Kodak Box’ bach, yn dangos golygfeydd o un o’r Seremonïau sy’n digwydd yng Nghylch yr Orsedd ym mhen pellaf Penslad.

The smaller photographs, taken on a small “Kodak Box” camera, show views of one of the Ceremonies taking place at the Gorsedd Circle at the far end of Penslade.
