Sefydlwyd George Bennett & Co ym 1823 fel masnachwr a mewnforwyr gwinoedd a gwirodydd.Wedi’i leoli gyferbyn â Chapel Hermon, mae’r adeilad wedi ei newid yn helaeth dros y blynyddoedd ac erbyn hyn mae’n cael ei ddefnyddio fel tŷ tafarn (Tafarn Bennett), ac mae’r ystafelloedd storio a’r gofod swyddfa ar hyn o bryd, yn fwyty Indiaidd.

Roedd y ‘vats’ gwirodydd yn dal 400 galwyn o wirod yr un!

George Bennett & Co was established in 1823 as a wine and spirit merchant and importer.Situated opposite Hermon Chapel, the building has been extensively altered over the years and now in use as a pubic house (Bennett’s Tavern), and the store rooms and office space currently, is an Indian restaurant.

The Spirit Vats held 400 gallons of spirit each!
