Tony Harries (28/03/1942 – 03/09/1996) was a well known and popular local to Fishguard. He was the son of William and Betty Harries and brother to Stuart and Dorothy. He grew up with his family in Parc Y Shwt, Fishguard and later on in life bought a house and lived in the same street as his family.

Tony worked as a sound engineer and photographer for the BBC throughout the 1960’s – 1980’s. He was born and raised in Fishguard, Pembrokeshire and was well known in the industry. He was given the nickname ‘Tony BBC’ by many friends and locals of the area. He also appeared on BBC Cymru’s news programme on the ‘In Skin’ Factory in Goodwick in 1973, which can be watched on BBC Rewind.   BBC Rewind “In Skin, Goodwick”

In his spare time he enjoyed socializing and catching up with friends in the Abergwaun Hotel, Fishguard.

He was a funny, friendly and very caring person who was and will always be, loved by many.
