|Yn Ionawr 1944, cyhoeddodd Capel Hermon rhifyn cyntaf cylchgrawn ‘Cofion Hermon’. Pwrpas y cylchgrawn dwy-ieithog hwn oedd hala gair o gefnogaeth i’r bobol ifanc a oedd ymhell o gartre’ yn gwasanaethu eu gwlad. Mae tipyn o hiwmor yn y cylchgrawn a olygwyd gan Parch G Wynn Owen, T J Williams a Bryn Evans. Mae ynddo gerdd ddoniol am ddarllediad radio o’r Capel yn ystod Chwefror 1944.|
Ar y pryd, roedd pedair aelod yn gwasanaethu fel nyrsys, tri aelod yn garcharorion rhyfel, roedd un wedi ei gofrestru ‘ar goll’, ac roedd chwech eisoes wedi colli eu bywydau.
|In January 1944, Hermon Chapel published the first issue of ‘Cofion Hermon’ magazine. The purpose of this bilingual magazine was to send a word of support to Hermon’s young people, who were far from home, serving their country. There is quite a bit of humor in the magazine. It was edited by Reverend G Wynn Owen, T J Williams and Bryn Evans. The publication contains a humorous poem about the wireless broadcast from Hermon in February 1944.|
At the time, four female members were serving as nurses, three male members were prisoners of war, one was missing, six had already made the extreme sacrifice.
