A very quiet day in Goodwick’s Main Street showing the narrow road leading up to Glendower Square. Some of the inhabitants are outside their cottages posing for the camera man maybe? The only clue to the date is Goedwig Chapel which was built in 1873 and still stands, though sadly, now unused.
In later years the 40s and 50s, the long low stone building on the RHS located just below Goedwig chapel was used as a paraffin/oil store run by Mrs Edith Simpson. If anyone wanted paraffin for their stoves or heaters, they would take their bottles or cans there to be filled.
