Parrog - Wdig / Goodwick

Tynnwyd y llun hwn yn Chwefror 1977 ar yr adeg pan yr oedd plant yr ardal yn poeni y byddent yn colli eu maes parcio ar y Parrog. Roedd cynlluniau ar droed i adeiladu gorsaf bwmpio carthffosiaeth yno. Wrth gwrs, doedd hyn ddim wrth fodd pawb. Yma gwelir Lawton Phillips, cadeirydd y Siambr Fasnach leol, gyda Ben Morris, perchennog siop “In Skin”, yn Abergwaun. Roedden nhw yn trafod eu barn gyda newyddiadurwr y Western Telegraph.
Yn y cefndir, gwelir Wdig fel yr oedd yn 1977.
This picture was taken in February 1977 at a time when children of the area were worried that they would lose their playing ground on the Parrog. Plans were afoot to build a sewage pumping station there. Of course, this was not to everyone’s liking. Here Lawton Phillips, chairman of the local Chamber of Trade, is seen with Ben Morris, owner of the “In Skin” shop, in Fishguard. They were discussing their views with the Western Telegraph journalist.
In the background, Goodwick can be seen as it was in 1977.
