Goodwick's Parrog and the Jubilee Hall

Goodwick Parrog and the Jubilee Hall
The County Echo 11-11-1948

A view of the LHS of the Parrog where there was a children’s playground and a rough path leading out to the jetty.  The long building behind that were the homes of the Lees and Power families. Next to them is the Jubilee (Community) Hall which was demolished in the 70s. Above the houses on Quay Road runs the Cw/New Hill  leading  to “The Villas” and the annex to the Bay Hotel.

This steep hill continues on up to Harbour Village.

  • This looks like the late 1960s. We lived at No2 Beach Cottage just to the left of the Lees and Powers. I think we had to move out in 1966 to make way for the first road to be constructed to the harbour. The new road can be seen marked by surveyors stakes with contractors vans and storage along side the Jubilee Hall. There were 6 houses in this area.
