This is the block making yard on the seafront at Goodwick . The workers appear to be tending to a couple of newly filled moulds. Moulded into each block were 2 slots, the bottom of each slot had a circular recess – T shaped “Lewis” bars were then lowered into the slots, when at the bottom they were turned in the recess through 90 degrees enabling the block to be lifted
