Parrog from Frenchman's Walk

Goodwick Parrog
Ian Evans

A lovely clear “real photo” postcard of the seafront at Goodwick , not dated but I think it must be late 50’s/early 1960’s.

Most of what can be seen on the Goodwick side of the breakwater was lost in the late 60’s/early 70’s when the new access road to the harbour was built, that included the tennis courts and children’s playground, the original lifeboat station and the Jubilee Hall. The old Western Welsh garage is visible as well as the red brick abutments of the old railway bridge that used to cross the parrog, the bridge deck had been removed many years earlier.
