Looking across the Parrog to Goodwick

An early photograph of the Parrog.

This view has been taken from the direction of Fishguard and looking towards the quiet village of Goodwick. In the foreground , the old bridge crosses the Drim brook which like today, flows under the road and Parrog and discharges into the sea.  The narrow road wends it’s way to Goodwick between the Moor (Rhos Wdig) and the sandy beach. In the background, very few houses can be seen in Goodwick compared to today, although the rear of Goedwig Chapel, built in 1873, can be clearly seen.
