This photograph, taken form the cliffs above today’s Quay Road, clearly shows the little cove of Gro Wen. This cove of fine white sand was popular with local people; unfortunately it was destroyed when this area of cliffs was blasted away to make a level foundation for the Harbour development. The view looks back at the quiet village of Goodwick, with the lifeboat shed and slipway on the RHS of the beach
