Teulu Wreford, Wdig - the Wreford family, Goodwick

The Wreford family of Goodwick

This photograph of an unidentified family group was found in a house in Goodwick which was being emptied upon the death of the resident.   Fortunately, thanks to the excellent memory of another elderly Goodwick resident, it was possible to name all the people in the photograph, to trace some descendants and return this original photograph to them.

Pictured here are the Wreford family who had moved from Llanstadwell in 1906 upon the opening of the Fishguard and Goodwick new harbour development where Mr James Wreford was employed as a ganger on the quay wall.

Back Row L-R Maggie Wreford; Winifred Ann Wreford; Thomas James Wreford; Alfred John Wreford; Agnes Wreford; Alice Wreford.

Front Row L-R Elizabeth Emma Wreford; Mr James Wreford; Mrs Elizabeth Wreford; Mary Jane Wreford.

In 1911 the family lived at 82 Harbour Village and by 1927 they were living at Goodwick Bridge.

The family were faithful members of Bethesda Baptist Church in Goodwick for many years.
