The Elizabeth Mary Lifeboat

The first lifeboat station at Fishguard was established in 1822. The RNlI took over the station in 1855 and built a boathouse at Goodwick Beach, a second station was opened in 1869.  This photograph shows the crew of the self-righting lifeboat Elizabeth Mary, stationed in Goodwick 1889-1907.
