These smartly dressed people about to enter St Mary’s Church for one of the services. Is anyone able to identify them? Behind them, and to the RHS of the photograph can be seen the Market Hall and also E.H James’ shoe shop which had originally been in High Street, (where the Wool Shop is now).
I may be wrong and am happy to be corrected but I too have this photograph. My father always told me that it was the wedding of William George brother of Lloyd George (the Prime Minister) on the occasion of his marriage to Anita Williams from Cefnydre. Lloyd George did attend the ceremony.
