This photograph of the Fishguard and Goodwick Station Signal Box is shown with an unknown group of men posing in front of the building.
The sign reveals that these men were from Newport Signal Department which was in Monmouth. These would have been an experienced group of men brought in to set up the signal box and install the signals and pointwork necessary for the safe operation of the system. At this time the local men would not have had the necessary experience.
