Casgliad o luniau o ardal Croesgoch….. ond mae’r wybodaeth sydd gyda nhw yn brin. Ydych chi’n gallu helpu?


Ers i’r lluniau yma ymddangos ar y dudalen hon, bu Mr Rob Rees, Llanrian yn ymchwilio ac y cynnig gwybodaeth. Diolch Rob!

2) Llun  injin Fferm Trehywel, Caslai, gyda Mr Owi Thomas, Llannon, Trefin – contractor. Torri cerrig.

 

3) Enw’r peiriant yma ydy ‘Great Tue’ – injan stêm symudol a oedd, ar y pryd, yn perthyn i’r teulu Rees, Llanrian. Mae’r injan yn dal i fodoli, erbyn hyn yn Swydd Rhydychen.

4) Mr Owi Thomas, Y Gongol, Llannon, Trefin. Mae tŷ fferm Y Gongol wedi bod yn adfail ers slawer dydd. Gwelir yma Fferm Trehywel, Caslai.

5) Yr oedd Mr Owi Thomas yn gwneud tipyn o waith contracto yn torri cerrig yng Nghware Rosebush.

8&9) Mr Owi Thomas gyda injan y teulu Miles, Fferm Caerhys, Abereiddi, ger Croesgoch.

10) Mr John Thomas Y Gongol, tad Owi.

11) Y ‘Great Tue’ yn garej y teulu Rees, Llanrian.

2) Photo of the engine belonging to Trehywel Farm, Hayscastle, with Mr Owi Thomas, Llannon, Trefin – contractor. Stone crushing in progress.

3) The name of this machine is ‘Great Tue’ – a mobile steam engine which, at the time, belonged to the Rees family, Llanrian. The engine still exists, now in Oxfordshire.

4) Mr Owi Thomas, Y Gongol, Llannon, Trefin. Gongol farmhouse has been a ruin for time. Seen here is Trehywel Farm, Hayscastle.

5) Mr Owi Thomas was a contractor, very often involved in crushing stone at Rosebush Quarry.

8&9) Mr Owi Thomas with the Miles family engine, at Caerhys Farm, Abereiddi, near Croesgoch.

10) Mr John Thomas Y Gongol, Owi’s father.

11) The ‘Great Tue’ engine at the garage belonging to the Rees family, Llanrian.

12) Owi Thomas is seen in this newspaper cutting.

13) Caerhys Farm steam engine, Abereiddi – a Foster machine called ‘Old Smokey’ which is now at Freystrop. Mr M W G Miles is in the picture.
