Mother's Union. St Peter's Church, Goodwick

Mother's Union. St Peter's Church. Goodwick
Catrina Le Page

Does anyone have any information on the people in this photograph which is supposed to be of Goodwick Mother’s Union and dated approximately to the 1950s?

The only ones who can be named are Rev Vernon Johns of St Peter’s Church, Goodwick standing alone at the back, and Mrs Johns who is standing in the middle row, next to the person on LHS. At the far left in the back row is a lady resembling Mrs Gracie?

  • I don’t think this is St Peter’s Mothers Union. Vernon Johns was my father and although there is a reasonable likeness, I’m not convinced. My mother, Madge Johns, would only have been in her early 30’s and I can’t see her in the photo. I also don’t recognise any of the ladies. As a young boy I used to attend their lively Wednesday afternoon tea parties in the church hall on my way home from Goodwick school. Great times were had by all.
