Vittle family gatherings

The family name of Vittle has been associated with this part of Pembrokeshire for at least 300 years with the direct descendants of the siblings in the top photograph being traced back to John Vittle born in 1769.

At least one branch of the Vittle family emigrated to the USA – William born in Lower Town in 1820 – sailed for America where he settled and raised his family.

The second photograph shows Vittle family descendants taken a few years ago on the steps of the Fishguard Bay Hotel. The reunion was arranged as a genealogy search and information day.
