Studio portraits

This group of studio portraits are believed to be the work of Henry Jackson of Fishguard. He was taking photographs from around 1870 through to his death in 1896.

An album of his photos has recently been lent to Ein Hanes on Fishguard Square and these images may be viewed there.

The style of dress suggests that these photos date from the early part of his photographic career – do you recognise any of the images – are they in your family collections?

Some of the images have been identified within the album although it is thought that the names have been added by a later owner of the album rather than Henry Jackson himself.
