A lovely photograph of Nurse Beryl Davies who served as a District Nurse in Fishguard and Goodwick for many years.
Beryl Williams, as she was before she married, was born in Pontiago, Llanwnda in 1922. She undertook her medical training in Swansea but returned home where she worked as a nurse, serving the community until her retirement.
Beryl married a local lad by the name of Iorwerth Davies, better know as Iorrie who worked for British Rail as an engine driver out of Goodwick yard.
Nurse Davies is seen in the above photo standing next to her black Morris 8, outside her home on Hill Street, Goodwick. The car was very necessary to enable her to visit all her patients throughout the district.
