The Roberts brothers

THE ROBERTS BROTHERS.

It is interesting to see the links within the Roberts family, with some of their stories having been researched for this website.

It begins with Lewis Roberts (1818-1889) who married Anne Price (1823-1863) the millers daughter in Felindre, St. Nicholas. They had four sons.

The first two became Master Mariners, Benjamin (1848) and the second son, Captain Thomas Roberts (1849) of Fishguard.

The third son, Captain John Price Roberts(1852919) emigrated to the U.S.A. and operated a fleet of passenger vessels  from Battery Point in New York. Please click on the link below to read more about his interesting life –

When Lewis first wife died at an early age, Lewis moved to farm at Tan Y Mynydd, Llanwnda and married to Elizabeth Vaughan 1840.They had a further nine sons !
