Hi Len,
If you were looking in your Welsh dictionary it wouldn’t have been able to help as it is not a Welsh term.
It relates to a method of teaching to read and sing music whereby the tones are called
do-re-me-fa-sol-la-ti-do. The name sol fa comes from two of the notes.
Please explain in English what sol-ffa or sol-fa lessons were.
My weighty dictionary was of no help.
