Mae gan yr erthygl fach yma o 1896 tipyn i ddweud wrthym ni. Mae’n egluro fod y prifathro ‘Mr Harries’ yn weithiwr blaengar ac effeithiol. Wedi  iddo gael ei apwyntio ar ddechrau 1895, aeth ati i gynnig gwersi sol-ffa a chael canlyniade gwych!This little article from 1896 has a lot to share with us. It explains that the headmaster ‘Mr Harries’ is a progressive and effective worker. After being  appointed at the beginning of 1895, he set about offering sol-fa lessons and got great results!

    If you were looking in your Welsh dictionary it wouldn’t have been able to help as it is not a Welsh term.
    It relates to a method of teaching to read and sing music whereby the tones are called
    do-re-me-fa-sol-la-ti-do. The name sol fa comes from two of the notes.
