Henry Jackson- Ein Hanes

An early photograph of Quay Road in Lower Town with a vessel in the foreground.

The image was most probably taken by Henry Jackson, a photographer who lived in West Street, Fishguard where his family ran a General Stores.  The date is likely around 1880.

The properties can clearly be identified in views today although over the ensuing 150 years they have had some adaptations.

This image forms part of an album recently lent to Ein Hanes where it is available to view.
