This school photograph was taken in 1905 and shows the pupils of Barham School, Trecwn together with their Headmaster, Mr David Bonvonni. At this time, despite the school being quite remote, there were 40 pupils in attendance.
Mr Bonvonni was assisted in teaching the children, by his wife who was Mistress at the school. He was a very diligent Headmaster and in the same year that this photo was taken, HMS Inspector’s report recorded that:-
This school fully maintains its reputation for good and useful work. The teaching throughout is practical and the work of the children of a high order
