Mr Thomas Glyn-y-mêl a thrigolion y pentre. Y dyn byr ydy Mr Butler y chauffer / Village residents with Mr Thomas of Glyn-y-mêl. The short gentleman is Mr Butler, the chauffer of 'The Gables'
Fel rhan o Ddathliadau Coroni 1953 yn y Cwm, cafodd y gymuned gyfan wahoddiad i Glyn y Mêl ar gyfer mabolgampau. Mae’r llun yn dangos pawb yn sefyll o amgylch mynedfa a grisiau’r plasty.

Perchenog y Plas ar y pryd oedd Mr Thomas ac yr oedd ef a’i wraig a’u tair merch wedi dod i’r Cwm o ardal Cilgerran. Nid yw Gwenyth Thomas, chwaer Hedydd a Bethan, yn y llun hwn.

As part of the 1953 Coronation Celebrations at Lower Town, the whole community was invited to Glyn y Mêl for a sports event. The image shows everybody crowded around the entrance and steps of the mansion.

The owner of Glyn y mêl mansion at the time was Mr Thomas and he and his wife and their three daughters had come to Lower Town from the Cilgerran area. Gwenyth Thomas, Hedydd and Bethan’s sister, is not in this picture.
