Arholiad Ysgol Sul - Sunday School Examination

Dyma lun o Awst 1912 yn dangos aelodau Ysgol Sul Capel Hermon ar achlysur yr arholiad blynyddol. Eu hathro yw John Harries o  Delyn Fach, Feidr Gongol, Pendre. Roedd yn adnabyddus fel bardd talentog, o dan yr enw barddol, ‘Cerdd y Delyn’. Roedd yn llwyddianus mewn nifer o eisteddfodau lleol. Er bod yr adroddiad uchod, o’r ‘Echo Fach’ yn perthyn i 1910, ac felly, ddim yn cyfateb yn berffaith i’r llun – y mae yn rhoi amcan o’r trefniadau ar gyfer y digwyddiad. Here is a photo showing the members of Hermon Chapel Sunday School on the occasion of their annual examination. Their teacher is John Harries of Delyn Fach, Feidr Gongol, Pendre. He was known as a talented poet, using the bardic name of ‘Cerdd y Delyn’. He was successful at many local eisteddfodau. Though the ‘County Echo’ report below is from 1910, and is therefore not a perfect match for the photo, it does give an idea of the arrangements for the examination.
